Chad Spaulding - Bass
Chad was born in Jamaica, but moved to Kitchener at the age of two. From a young age he demonstrated
incredible musical talent, especially a tremendous musical ear. Not wanting to waste this
talent, Chad jumped right into anything musical he could find. He landed major roles in
Grade 7 and 8 musicals, including "Rock On", "Peter Pan" and "Anne of Green Gables"; those grades
were a hit! Wanting to continue his success in music, Chad
entered his high school years by applying to all of the music programs
possible. It was in Grade 12 when he met a soprano who had a voice
that could only have extended from years of practice. Her name was
Jennifer Black and she could harmonize like none he had ever heard before.  Naturally,
Chad jumped at the chance to sing with her, and they completed various performances
together. He then joined some of the choirs she introduced him to (Music
Alive and two Trinity United Church Choirs) and got the chance to sing with
Brian Black and Judy Garrett. Brian, at the time, was looking to
create an a cappella group to sing modern songs that the group members
were interested in. Being the lucky guy he is, Chad was asked to
join. Currently, Chad is the bass foundation of the group 'Beyond
Bliss'. He also loves musical theatre and is a frequent performer with local theatre groups, including
Kitchener-Waterloo Musical Productions, The Community Players and the Caribbean Canadian Association. One of the
highlights of his musical career was the opportunity to play the role of Joseph in TCP's production of
"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat". In addition to his musical endeavours, Chad enjoys
his role as a Systems Specialist at a local insurance company in Waterloo.
